FAQ's
  • Who can post a review? Anyone can post a review of any gadget or gizmo that they like. It's a very simple process. Fill in the review sheet, submit it and we'll send you an email to confirm it. Click the link in the email
  • I can't see the manufacturer of my gadget listed. I want to post a review how do I do it? Instead of selecting something from the dropdown box just fill in the box marked 'OTHER' on the sheet.
  • I'm a manufacturer and I'd like the right to reply to some of these reviews. How do I do that? Fill in a review just like everyone else. We don't edit any of these reviews so you are getting pretty direct opinions. You have every right to jump and defend your product but please don't abuse the system - make it obvious who you are and that you are a manufacturer.
  • How does the scoring work? Easy this one. When you submit a review you score the 3 review sections (features, durability and value for money) out of 10. 10 being amazing and fantastic and 0 being a bit shoddy. We then take these scores, add them together, divide by 30 (the max possible score) and then x100 to give the percentage that you see on the review. We do it this way because we think that gives a better indication of how good or bad something is rather than letting you score the total yourself which is likely to end up with lots of very bad scores or lots of very good ones!
  • Why do you need my email address? We need this to get you to verify the review you wrote wasn't submitted by some spammer or bot that goes around randomly filling in forms and submitting them! We just use the address that you fill in the box to send you that one email for verification. You don't need to worry about us keeping the addresses and spamming you later with some annoying newsletter. We won't do that. In addition, if you have entered the prize draw then we will use the email address provided to let the winner know they have won. If you untick the box 'enter me in the prize draw' then we won't store your email address on our system.
  • Fair enough but why are you logging my IP number and ISP then? Again no other reason than to prevent abuse of the system. All of this data is protected by the data protection act and we don't display either of these pieces of data on the reviews anywhere. See our privacy policy for more details on this one.
